Search engine optimization

by oakhead112

search engine optimizationSearch engine optimization refers to optimizing the structure of a website such that it figures on the top of list for searches. Techniques include using keywords which are most commonly searched (to make it rank high for specific searches), or optimize the link layout so that the search engine sees more links referring to a certain page than those leaving it, using descrptive link titles, among others.

Previously, to rank high, a site would have had to pay the search engines. These days, when a paid search is listed, it comes as sponsored sites. Sponsored sites, apart from relying on the search engines' crawlers, provide more information, to make them rank high in the list of sponsored sites and categorize them properly for more relevance.[tags]seo, search engine optimization, search engines, Internet, Internet search[/tags] search engine optimization
