Samsung Gear 360° camera
The Samsung Gear 360 is one of a few major standalone 360 cameras hoping to bring the immersive video experience to the masses. This is the ideal camera for real estate listing promotions. The camera itself is very small and very easy to transport. plus, and it’s a big plus for real estate agents, the Samsung Gear 360° camera is extremely easy to use. It takes 4K video, there’s no focusing required and it has built-in audio. Also, it’s gaining in mainstream popularity, as evidenced by the fact that YouTube has set up uploading specifically for 360° videos. I should mention here that this camera not only takes 360° videos but it also takes 360° still photos as well. Plus, the camera can be totally controlled from your Samsung smart phone.
Real estate agent should keep in mind that this camera cannot only be used for promoting your listings, it should be considered as a listing tool as well. Yes, when you’re interviewing for a listing I would always bring a laptop and show one of my prior 360° videos and tell the sellers that this is something that I’m going to be doing as part of my unique package in marketing their property.360 real estate photography
The Samsung Gear 360 is for focusless, frameless shots.
We have to change how we view photographs. It’s a paradigm shift. You don’t gather some buds and face the camera and say cheese with a forced smile. That’s the function of old format rectangular photos. This is purely immersion. It’s for candid shots. When you’re facing the photo you’re taking in 360 you look like a dweeb (no offence, everyone does, not just you). It’s not a selfy platform. It’s a platform about being part of the action. The camera should be ignored. People should act natural. And the core use of 360 is nature. If you want a photo of you and your friends, use a regular camera. If you want to be transported to a place or a moment, you use 360. Set it on a dinner table at a wedding. Mount it to the top of a helmet for a hike. Snap a shot from a mountain top. That’s what I love about 360.

Regular photos are awful at capturing a moment so we focus on one person or one object and they do a poor job of transporting you back there when you view it later. It doesn’t really matter if you were in Amsterdam or Tokyo or Antarctica, it’s just a picture of you with different clothes. For this reason there is added emotion to 360 captures. 360 makes it less about us and more about moments and the world around us. In other words it’s less vanity or more humble. The moment we stop thinking a photo is about us and how we look in that photo, is the moment we transcend fully to this upgraded technology.
Just love 360 video!
